The ball is the whole point. Golf-size means a smaller target, which means the hitter's visual system has to work harder to find it, track it, and commit. Shrink the ball and the regular one looks enormous.
Stock up. Balls are the consumable in this system — running out mid-session is the fastest way to lose a good round of work.
